1. Using this site

By using Budgets LK you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The site is free to use.

2. Information only

Budgets LK explains Sri Lanka's national budget and economy in plain language. It is for general information. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax or professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Budgets LK takes no political position and is not connected to any government body or political party.

3. Accuracy and no warranty

Figures are read from official documents, such as the Appropriation Bills and Acts, and from published statistics, and they are checked. Errors can still happen, and sources can be revised. The site is provided "as it is", without any promise that it is complete, current or free of mistakes. For anything important, check the linked source document. If you find a mistake, please tell us.

4. Our content and your use of it

The data sets, tables, charts and text that Budgets LK compiled and wrote are shared under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. You may reuse them if you give credit. The details are on the Reuse and licence page. Official documents and data from other publishers (the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the Department of Census and Statistics, the IMF, the World Bank and others) remain under those publishers' terms.

5. Acceptable use

Please do not use the site to break the law, to interfere with how it works, or to send it an unreasonable volume of automated requests. Please do not present the site's content as official government material or suggest that Budgets LK endorses you or your product.

6. Translations

The site can be shown in other languages using Google Translate. This is machine translation and can be wrong. The English text is the reference version.

7. Links to other sites

The site links to sources and other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

8. Limit of responsibility

To the extent the law allows, Budgets LK and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its content, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits a right that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may change the site and these terms. The date at the top shows when the terms were last updated. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
